Noloco is the best tool for an intranet I've used. The speed at which you can roll stuff out is nuts. And you have the customization without the usual trade offs. Phenomenal platform, really."
Oliver Bryant

I think Noloco is the absolute best product I've seen - continues to blow me away every day. I am using Noloco to build an app that will allow me and two team members to do the work that most firms would require 10 people to do"
Marshal Hoda
Attorney & Founder
We have been using them for about a year now, and the improvement since a year ago has been significant, so the product is excellent (very flexible, easy to set up, and full of very powerful features)"
Xing Zhang

Having tested a few different services which would allow our organisation to allow users to easily interact with Airtable data, Noloco is by far the best. It's easy to use, highly flexible, very powerful, and looks great on both desktop and mobile. We've had nothing but positive feedback from all our users."
Luke Branford

As CMO, I was able to build an amazing app on Noloco without needing to use our team of full-stack developers. This freed up our internal resources and resulted in massive cost savings. Noloco enabled us to adapt to market changes effectively and generate a new revenue stream that is wholly separate from our primary B2C strategy"
Jacomo Deschatelets
Co-Founder & CMO
Noloco saved me lots of time and money because I could build everything myself. As a non-technical Founder, I was amazed by how much I was able to create on my own and without the help of expensive resources such as developers or interaction designers. I reduced the time to create a service expenditure report from over 3 hours to just 5 minutes."
Björn Audunn Blöndal

I'll be honest, I saw parts of the system during your demo and was thinking it could be a great tool, but I didn't think it would be this easy to get around and integrate - very impressive!"

When Lovable is the right choice
— and when it's not

Noloco
Lovable
Data Source
Your data already lives in Airtable, Google Sheets, or a SQL database — you want to build on top of it without rebuilding it
You're starting from scratch and want a full app generated from a prompt, database included
Softr
Control
You want to configure your app precisely (layout, permissions, fields) without iterating through prompts or managing generated code
You're comfortable iterating through AI prompts to refine the output
Permissions
Each client or team member needs to see only their own records, with specific fields hidden by role — configured visually
Basic role-based access is enough, and you're comfortable setting up RLS policies in SQL
Branding
The app represents your business and needs to look like a product you built
Appearance is a secondary concern and can only be shaped through prompts
Use cases
Client portals, internal tools, and operational apps built on data your team already manages
MVPs, SaaS prototypes, and new products built from zero

Why teams choose Noloco over Lovable

Great apps need more than fast generation. Noloco gives you visual control, field-level permissions, and live data connectivity — without prompting loops or credit spend.
Connect your data. Don't start over.
Lovable can connect to Airtable as a data source, and its native database runs on Supabase. Both work well if you're starting fresh or want to use Airtable as a backend for a custom interface.

But if your business already runs on Airtable (with linked records, formula fields, automations, and views your team depends on) Noloco connects directly with live two-way sync. There's nothing to rebuild and nothing to maintain in parallel. Your tables, formulas, and workflows stay exactly where they are. The only thing that changes is what your users see.
Every client sees their data. Only their data. No SQL required.
In Lovable, controlling exactly what each client can see takes technical configuration.

In Noloco, it's built into the visual builder. Each user sees only the records linked to them — not a filtered view of a shared dataset, but genuine data isolation. And with field-level permissions, you can hide specific fields from specific roles entirely, without touching any code. For client-facing apps, this is what makes the difference.
Build precisely, not iteratively
Lovable generates apps from prompts — fast to start, and powerful when the output lands right. The challenge comes when it doesn't: adjusting a layout, rearranging a field, changing what a user role can see. Each refinement means another prompt, another generation cycle, and on credit-based plans, more spend.

Noloco's visual builder gives you direct control. Drag, drop, configure. No iteration loops, no credit cost per change, no uncertainty about what the next generation will produce. When you change something, you see it immediately.
For apps that need to keep running — not just launch
Lovable is designed for building new products: MVPs, SaaS tools, custom internal dashboards built from scratch. It excels at that, and for teams who want code ownership and a modern tech stack, it's a strong choice.

Noloco is built for a different layer: operational apps and client portals that run on data your team already manages, used daily by people who aren't developers. No codebase to maintain, no SQL to write, no credits to watch. Just an app that works, on data you already trust.

Still have questions?

Here are the ones we hear most.
What's the main difference between Lovable and Noloco?
+
-

Lovable generates full-stack web applications from prompts — frontend, backend, Supabase database, and auth — and gives you a real codebase you own via GitHub. It's built for founders shipping new products from zero.

Noloco takes a different approach: you connect your existing data sources and build on top of them with a visual interface — no prompting loops, no codebase to manage. The right choice depends on whether you're building something new from scratch or building on data you already have.

Does Noloco require me to move my data out of Airtable?
+
-

No. Noloco connects to your existing Airtable bases with live two-way sync. You don't migrate anything. If you update a record in Noloco, it updates in Airtable instantly — and vice versa. Your existing workflows, formulas, and automations stay intact.

Can I use Noloco for both a client portal and an internal tool in the same app?
+
-

Yes. Many Noloco apps serve two distinct user groups at once: an internal team with full data access and admin controls, and external clients with a scoped, branded view of their own records. You manage roles, permissions, and layouts for each group within a single app — no duplicate builds, no separate workspaces.

Can I try Noloco for free?
+
-

Yes. Noloco offers a 14-day free trial, which includes full access to the features on your selected plan. This allows your team to fully evaluate workflows, permissions, automations, and integrations. No credit card is required to get started.

Can I connect multiple data sources in the same Noloco app?
+
-

Yes. A single Noloco app can pull from multiple data sources simultaneously : Airtable bases, Google Sheets, Postgres, Xano, Supabase, MySQL, and more. You can build pages that reference data from different sources in the same interface, without duplicating or migrating anything.

Lovable's app generation is primarily built around its own native Supabase database, with Airtable available as an additional connector.

What's the difference between role-based and field-level permissions?
+
-

Role-based permissions control what a user can do — view, edit, create, delete — based on their role. Field-level permissions go further: they control which individual fields a user can see at all, regardless of the page or view. In a client portal, field-level permissions mean a client can view their project record but never see the internal margin, status note, or cost field your team uses — even if those fields exist in the same table.

Lovable's access control works at the role level via Supabase RLS. Noloco supports both, including field-level restrictions configured through a visual UI.

Does Lovable have a native mobile app?
+
-

Lovable builds responsive web applications that work on mobile browsers. A Progressive Web App (installable to the home screen) is achievable with third-party tools like Progressier, or through manual configuration — but it's not built in.Noloco includes a native installable PWA out of the box. Your app can be added to any device's home screen without any additional setup, giving users an app-like experience on iOS and Android from day one.

How long does it take to get a Noloco app live?
+
-

Most teams connect their data source and have a working app within an hour. Noloco reads your data schema and auto-generates pages for each table, so you're not starting from a blank canvas. A basic client portal — login, record list, detail page — typically takes 1–2 hours to configure. More complex apps with custom workflows and multi-role permission structures take longer, but Noloco's template library covers most common starting points.

Do I need technical skills to use Noloco?
+
-

No. Noloco is built for operators, not developers. If you can configure a spreadsheet and think clearly about what different users should see and do, you can build a production-ready Noloco app. For teams that want to move faster, Nola — Noloco's AI assistant — can scaffold pages and suggest configurations.

Your data is already there. Your app should be too.

Lovable gets you to an app. Noloco gets you to one your team and clients can actually use — with isolated data, branded experience, and no codebase to maintain.
