Using Field-level Permissions to control which users can read, update & create data

Whereas record-level permissions allow you to securely control what records a given user has access to, field-level permissions enable you to determine whether a particular user should be able to create, read or update certain fields in a given collection.

In this video, we'll learn how to:

  • Prevent users with a certain role from creating records
  • Remove the ability of users to update a status field
  • Prevent users from reading a certain field at all so it never appears to them in the app
